This contract position offers an opportunity to provide telehealth psychological services within a K-12 school setting, primarily focusing on initial evaluations for elementary students. Service delivery involves supporting students academic and emotional needs through comprehensive assessments and leading individualized education program (IEP) processes, with an anticipated change in responsibilities for IEP leadership in the upcoming school year.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Conducting initial psychological evaluations for elementary-aged students to identify learning, behavioral, or emotional challenges
- Collaborating with educational staff and families to develop and implement effective intervention strategies
- Leading the IEP development process, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and advocating for student needs
- Utilizing telehealth platforms to deliver psychological services effectively and confidentially
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation related to assessments and services
Qualifications And Desired Experience
- Active Michigan School Psychologist license (verification required)
- Experience working with K-12 populations, especially elementary students
- Proficiency in telehealth service delivery methods
- Strong skills in conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results
- Familiarity with IEP processes and educational regulations
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Location: Telehealth services for a school district based in Warren, MI, with work conducted remotely.
